Our grants program aims to inspire and support innovative applications on Minima. We encourage you to migrate your existing applications to Minima and contribute to our growing ecosystem through MiniDapps.

Hardware solutions that support and integrate with the Minima network e.g. running Minima nodes on IoT devices

Tools to improve and accelerate the developer experience on Minima.

MiniDapps or other Minima based applications that contribute to the Minima ecosystem.

Tiering

Our Grant program is tiered, with each tier having specific application and approval requirements. All applicants must first apply for a Kickstarter grant. Growth grants for additional funding are available upon successful completion of agreed Kickstarter milestones and approval by the Minima panel.

Kickstarter grant

Designed to support diverse projects across all grant categories, this grant focuses on initiatives with significant potential impact but manageable scope.

Additional growth grant

Designed to support projects with proven initial success and significant potential to advance the Minima ecosystem, these grants provide the more substantial funding required.

FAQ

Evaluation process

Applications will be reviewed by a Minima panel and, if required, any external experts in the project's domain. Projects will be evaluated based on meeting certain criteria including but not limited to:

Use Case: Is the project viable, suitable, and appropriate for blockchain and Minima?
Innovation: Does the project introduce new ideas or technologies that enhance the utility of the Minima ecosystem?
Team: Is there a solid and capable team to deliver the project?
Growth Potential: Does the project have potential to grow the Minima node count?
Security: Does the project have robust security measures to protect against threats?
Scalability: Can the project scale efficiently as the user base grows?
Compliance: Does the project adhere to all relevant legal and regulatory requirements?

Tracking and ongoing support

Our program includes developer support, milestone tracking to monitor key milestones as outlined in the project plan, and quarterly review meetings with the Minima panel.

Payments

Our payment structure is milestone-based, with payments issued upon the achievement of predefined milestones. The final disbursement of remaining funds occurs upon project completion and final review. Additionally, there is potential for bonus payments at our discretion.

Marketing & promotion

Prior written approval is required for press releases or public announcements. Minima may use project outcomes for marketing and promotion. Grantees should also conduct activities to promote a positive image of Minima.

Intellectual property

All intellectual property developed remains with the grantee, while Minima receives a non-exclusive, royalty-free license for promotional purposes. We encourage open-source licensing where appropriate.

Indemnification & Liability

Grantees will be required to sign a legal agreement to protect both parties and the sharing of sensitive information. Grantees must ensure adherence to applicable laws and regulations and are responsible for their own tax obligations. Additionally, termination clauses will define conditions for termination, including non-compliance or failure to meet milestones.
